ARTISTIC METHOD
Fedele Maura Friede folds large sheets of paper into small parcels, which she repeatedly (partially) unfolds anddraws on while exploring an environment or space. A spontaneous, specific impression that arises on site – thatwhich immediately imposes itself – is documented.Fedele Maura Friede’s work moves between microcosm and grand panorama. The non-linearity of the narrativesinherent in her works continuously provides new perspectives. What could previously be taken for granted – thespace, the environment: everything that only appears to be in the immediate vicinity – folds up in one area inorder to expand unexpectedly in another.
