Being deeply influenced by the architectural language, it is a central motif within my creative process embodied by various architectural elements re-appearing in the works. I draw inspiration from buildings and structures which I come across in my local surroundings, as well as in foreign territories during a trip or a residency periods. I think that what most intrigues me in architecture is the obvious potential of constructing a new autonomic compound. It is fascinating to see how ornaments and other aesthetic elements migrated under different political circumstances over the course of history.

During my stay in Goch, I plan to start research inspired by the history of the residency location which in the 19th century used to be one of the largest neo-Gothic wood sculpture workshops in the region. I would like to focus on sketches and drawings from the museum collection in order to create an “architectural memories" diary which will finally develop into a new series of works on paper.
