"The desire to inhabit is present in my work since I started working with stories of migrants who occupied a volcanic land in Mexico City to build their houses, like my mother. In my sculptures, I represent the percentage of an appartment that I could buy within 20 years of my life; the time it would take me to pay off a mortgage. I also do performances altering virtual worlds generated by architectural and video game rendering engines to understand the similarity between renders and desires."

"How much geological time has it taken to generate a cubic meter of natural gas? I am interested in narratives that play with fiction and reality and that can generate empathy with the subsoil that sustains us. After investigating two undersea volcanoes north of the Netherlands, little known and one of them with a bubble of natural gas that has been exploded until it is exhausted, I wonder what is the history of the natural gas that Germany will begin to extract from the North Sea."
