Pauline Debrichy is a Belgian artist based in Vienna, Austria. Fascinated by the urban environment, she situates her work at the intersection of private and public spheres. She challenges the notion of space, its boundaries, and its impact on our emotions and perceptions through sculptures, photography, and site-specific installations. She particularly focuses on topics such as urban development and the notion of private and public space.

Her projects, which are primarily site-specific installations, are a reflection on a particular location, its history, and its context. From objects to monumental structures, she endeavors to engage the viewer directly and even encourages them to engage with her works. The longevity of her pieces may be restricted by their materials and dimensions. The preservation of works might be impeded; works are dismantled or even destroyed. However, they may resurface under new forms.
In addition to multiple artist residencies in Europe and Canada, she has been nominated for numerous Belgian art prizes and was most recently granted the StartStipendium, a six-month grant from the Austrian Ministry for Arts. Her work was recently presented in Kunstverein Baden (AT), Semmelweißklinik (AT), Kunstraum St Virgil (AT), Cité internationale des Arts Paris (FR), Roger Katwijk Galerie Amsterdam (NL), Le Vecteur (BE), De Poortersloge (BE), Vienna Art Week (AT), Centre Bang (CA) and more.
