Odapark is a landscape park of 19 hectares. In the heart of the park is the Odapavilion with the historical Tea House. In this pavilion, we present changing exhibitions of contemporary visual arts, organise lectures and concerts and receive young and old for educational programmes. In the historical park and the adjoining woods, there is a collection of sculptures by international artists. At Odapark, we do not make art more difficult than necessary, but we do not simplify the world either. Whether you come for the art, the nature, the free wifi, a cup of coffee, a school assignment or just to share your story, you are welcome!

Venray is a small city with 28,000 inhabitants, located in the north of the province of Limburg. By Dutch standards, it is a sparsely populated area, with plenty of space for agriculture and nature. Although the region does not have an urban art scene, there is a great involvement in contemporary art by local volunteers and organisations.
As an art venue, Odapark is there to propose alternatives and spark imagination. In a debate of harsh contradictions, it is up to us to point out the subtle nuances the world has to offer. To speculate on all the possible futures that can be imagined. To show how fiction is sometimes more dangerous than reality, but how imagination can also bring people together.
Our visitors come from all social backgrounds and come from all possible political colours. So our mission is as clear as it is complex: How do we do this together? How can we turn negative energy and fear of the unknown into positive energy that allows for unexpected perspectives and solutions? How do you bring opposite perspectives in touch with each other?
How do you allow each one to be respected? How do you give a voice to those who don't feel heard? But also: How do you present an artistically ambitious programme without losing the approachable atmosphere of the venue? We not only bear responsibility for an exhibition or artistic programme, but just as much care for the park and its community.
Accommodation is located close to Odapark in the town of Venray. Within Odapark an artist studio is provided.
