KUNSTSTIPENDIUM DER STADT MOERS
RESIDENZ REPELEN
artist in residence 2024
The Cultural Office of the City of Moers is setting up an art scholarship as part of the Borderland Residencies for the first time in 2024. Under the motto “artists as guests of artists”, it invites artists recommended by experts from the Borderland network to discover the city, develop a site-specific project and to network with the city's art scene. This year, the artist Andrea Dieren is opening up her rural estate in Repelen to a resident, who can use a guest room, a large studio and a self-catering garden.

The cultural city of Moers thrives on the commitment of self-organized creative people and associations who, beyond established institutions, realize exciting ideas as freelancers. It enjoys an international reputation in particular thanks to the renowned Moers Festival and the award-winning productions of the Schlosstheater Moers.
Guest artists are provided with a guest room inside a private studio complex. Towards the end of a residency, the Cultural Office helps with organizing an exhibition.
The studio’s size changes from year to year, depending on the host.
An informal application is possible at any time. The next selection procedure will start in spring 2025.
There is no age limit for applicants, but only professional, international artists qualify for the programme. The application deadline is March 2025.
