MUSEUM SCHLOSS MOYLAND – BEDBURG-HAU

ABOUT THE RESIDENCY

A group of international performance artists intensively explored Beuys‘ work in the archive and collection as part of a month-long research residency at the ArToll art lab in March 2025.The participating artists developed site-specific long durational performances that are presented in the museum spaces. These revive the performative nature of the Beuys collection at Museum Schloss Moyland and reactivate the dialogue between art and museum visitors. At the same time, the traditional rules for the presentation of a collecting art institution are suspended in favour of an experimental opening and processuality.
