Discipline
Performance, drawing, participatory art
Rosa Vrij makes interdisciplinary art in which the roles of the audience and the artwork are reversed. The audience is a co-creator in her search for the boundaries between the body and architecture. She gets inspired by video games and board games, and the way instructions are used to create audience interaction. Her work is rooted in intersectional feminism. It is empathetic, poetic, personal, non-hierarchical and finds its meaning between the lines. Her work activates the senses of the audience so they can meet in the here and now.
